Manchester United loanee Anthony Martial faces anxious wait after Sevilla injury

Manchester United loanee Anthony Martial will face a nervy wait for the diagnosis of his injury that forced him off in the first half of Sevilla's clash with Espanyol.

The Frenchman was forced to withdraw from the contest after just 26 minutes, with Papu Gomez the man to replace him.

It's a huge blow for the 26-year-old just days after he opened his account for the club during their 3-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League.

The incident occurred shortly after the 20-minute mark as Martial went down holding his left leg, although it is unknown whether it is a knee or a hamstring injury.

The trip to Espanyol saw the United loanee make his fourth appearance for Sevilla since making his move to the La Liga title challengers.
