Roy Keane has laughed off the speculation surrounding a return to Sunderland as manager, joking the breakdown in talks came down to money.
Following the sacking of Lee Johnson, the former Manchester United midfielder underwent talks to return to the position 13 years after quitting at the Stadium of Light.
Ultimately, talks between the two broke down and ex-Preston North End boss Alex Neil has since taken charge at the League One club.

When asked about getting into punditry, Keane added: "I was just never bothered about it, when you're playing you're in the zone and I never took too much notice of what people were saying, regarding pundits.
"I just fell into it really, after I just left Ipswich. I think United were in the Champions League final at Wembley, ITV got in touch would I do a game.
"A couple of days before the final, I read my horoscope that day and it said you can't keep saying no to people, so I said I'd do it. I don't mind giving my opinion and going home."
