Manchester United kit for FA Cup final vs Man City confirmed

Manchester United will wear red shirts, with black shorts and socks in the FA Cup final against Manchester City this weekend.

The meeting is the first time in history the Manchester derby will be played in the FA Cup final and both sides will wear their home shirts at Wembley, with red pitted against blue for the prize of winning the oldest competition in England.

Against Brighton in the semi-final, United wore red shirts, with white shorts and socks but they'll change to black for the final.

David de Gea, who is expected to sign a new deal before the expiry of his contract, will wear an all-yellow kit at Wembley.

City’s goalkeeper will wear all orange and their outfield players will be in blue shirts and blue socks, with white shorts.

Erik ten Hag, speaking after United's final home match of the season, said his side would do everything to win the FA Cup.

"First of all, I want to say thank you to our players," Ten Hag said to rapturous applause. "I think they played a brilliant season. Thank you to the staff and I also want to thank you all. Thank you for your contribution, backing us and the support.

"It was great, so thank you. But when I say these words, there's still one game to go and I'm sure these players will give everything to beat Manchester City next week. I'm sure we have a really good chance to take the cup back to Old Trafford."

The winning and losing club in the final will take home £2,000,000 and £1,000,000 respectively from the competition’s prize fund.
