Manchester United handed Jude Bellingham transfer 'boost' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost in their attempts to sign Jude Bellingham after Premier League rivals Chelsea were ruled out of the race for his signature.

Bellingham has been in sensational form this season and it is expected that the Borussia Dortmund starlet will be on the move next summer. Many are predicting that the 19-year-old could enjoy a standout World Cup with England which would likely inflate his value further.

Bellingham had been pursued by United before his move to Dortmund and United are once again reported to be monitoring his progress. And TEAMtalk now report that one club who won't be rivalling United for his services are Chelsea.

They claim that Bellingham is not keen on a move to Graham Potter's side and would instead favour a switch to either Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid or United. Before Bellingham left Birmingham City for the Bundesliga, the Englishman toured United's Carrington training ground, however, it was not enough for them to seal the deal.

Elsewhere, ESPN are reporting that Liverpool have joined the race to sign United target Cody Gakpo in January. Dutch football reporter Hans Kraay Jr has claimed that Jurgen Klopp's assistant Pep Lijnders has identified the PSV Eindhoven man as the 'missing link' for the Merseyside club.

Erik ten Hag contacted Gakpo late in the summer over a potential switch to Old Trafford, though the move failed to materialise. Since then Gakpo has taken the Eredivisie by storm and he currently sits on 13 goals and 17 assists in just 23 appearances.
