Team news confirmed ahead of Atletico Madrid
Having given their top four hopes a big boost at the weekend, the focus for United now turns to the Champions League as they look to book their place in the quarter-finals of this season’s competition. Atletico Madrid make the trip to Old Trafford on Tuesday, with the tie evenly poised at 1-1 after the first leg in Spain.
Having beaten Tottenham on Saturday, all eyes will be on what side Ralf Rangnick elects to go with in the second leg. Bruno Fernandes missed out against Spurs after testing positive for Covid-19, while Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay were also absent.

Ahead of tomorrow’s game, Rangnick has confirmed his team news, and there are a couple of boosts for the interim boss. The question is now, who will get the nod against Atletico?
Rangnick explains why he’s not worried about Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo stole the show on Saturday as he returned to the side in spectacular fashion. Having missed out on the Manchester derby through injury, he then scored a brilliant hat-trick to hand United an all-important victory over Spurs.
There have of course been plenty of question marks over Ronaldo’s place in the side since he made his return to Old Trafford. Even Rangnick has had his doubts, with the interim boss showing signs he was losing patience with the Portuguese superstar.
That hat-trick on Saturday though came as a timely reminder of just what the five-time Ballon d’Or winner can offer. Of course, given his recent injury, there might be some concern about the quick turnaround against Atletico tomorrow, although Rangnick isn’t feeling worried.
