Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo was mocked by former teammate Gary Neville, as the former right-back urged people to watch a Salford City match instead of his interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo's interview with Morgan has dominated the headlines since the announcement was made on Sunday evening. Alejandro Garnacho's time in the spotlight was drastically cut short by his idol, as the 37-year-old's wide-ranging accusations started to surface less than four hours after the youngster's 93rd-minute winning goal against Fulham.
It was not the first time this season that Ronaldo has taken the attention away from his teammates after what should have been a day of celebration. The former Real Madrid man stormed down the tunnel before full-time during United's 2-0 win over Tottenham in October after he refused to come on as a late substitute.

Neville was providing match commentary during the win over Spurs, as he criticised Ronaldo for his actions.
Speaking to Sky Sports at the time, he said: "That's the second time Cristiano Ronaldo has left Old Trafford and got in his car before his team have got back into the changing room. I have to say, as someone in the dressing room, it's something that's unacceptable.
"When you look at whether Cristiano should be selected, Manchester United are better without him and Erik ten Hag knows that. The only thing that Cristiano and the club can do is get together in the next week and end the relationship. Cristiano is too good of a player, too fantastic of a character and the club have got to move on."
The Portugal international took issue with Neville's comments, as he in turn retaliated with a swipe at his former teammate during the interview with Morgan on TalkTV.
He said: "It’s hard to listen [to] that kind of criticism and negative about people who play with you, for example, Gary Neville, as well. I think they take advantage of that [his profile] because they are not stupid.
"I’m the number one followed guy in the world. It’s not by coincidence. To listen as ex-colleagues or team-mates criticise you, when they only see one point of view.
"It’s easy. It’s easy to criticise, I don’t know if you have a job in television that they must criticise to be more famous. I really don’t understand it. It’s hard when you see people who was in the dressing room with you criticising that way."
Moments before the first part of Ronaldo's interview was set to air, Neville urged his 5.4million Twitter followers to tune into Salford City's match, instead of his interview with Morgan. He tweeted: "Tune in to a “World Exclusive” at 8pm tonight Salford City v Peterborough in the FACUP on ITV 4 channel 120."
