Manchester United great Gary Neville makes Man City Premier League title admission

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has made a surprise admission on City winning the Premier League title on Sunday.

Neville was in attendance at the Etihad Stadium to witness the Blues' incredible comeback to beat Aston Villa and secure Pep Guardiola's fourth title in five seasons. Ilkay Gundogan grabbed a brace either side of a Rodri strike to overturn Villa's 2-0 lead which was established by Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho.

City's victory ensured that Liverpool would finish second behind Guardiola's men with Jurgen Klopp's side needing the Blues to drop points to have any chance of winning the league. Due to the fierce rivalry between United and City, host of Sky Sports' Overlap Josh Denzel asked Neville if he was ecstatic when Coutinho made it 2-0.

However, the former Love Island star was not expecting Neville's response. He said: "Ecstatic? No.

"I will be really honest with you, City had to win on Sunday for us (United fans). I want to be really clear about that, Liverpool cannot win the quadruple, they can't win the treble - it is impossible.

"We may as well all give in. It is a really bad position to be in at the moment to think that way."
