Manchester United great Gary Neville brutally trolls Liverpool FC after Real Madrid defeat

Manchester United great Gary Neville has brutally trolled Liverpool as he continues to revel in their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid on Saturday night.

Having won two domestic cups this season - and narrowly missing out on the Premier League title - the Reds were chasing a treble in Paris against the Spanish champions. However, despite starting the game on the front foot, they slipped to a 1-0 defeat when Vinicius Junior settled the scores in the second half.

It was a repeat of the high-octane 2018 showdown which also went in favour of the Spaniards. Liverpool did go on to win the marquee European competition 12 months later.

Billed as a revenge mission after the devastating shoulder injury Mohamed Salah endured in Kyiv, it was a vibrant start from Liverpool but they failed to make their dominance pay in the opening 45 minutes. Jurgen Klopp and his men also came up against an inspired Thibaut Courtois.

The former Chelsea goalkeeper made several stunning saves throughout the 90 minutes as Real went on to pick up a record-extending 14th European crown. Needless to say, it was a result that drew celebrations from United fans across the board and Neville was among those to stick the boot in.

Addressing his 5.2million followers on Twitter post-match, Neville said: "It's really normal to be happy if you're a United fan! I'm f@@@@@g ecstatic!" Neville added a laughing face emoji to his post and it has already received over 125,000 likes.
