Barcelona update Frenkie de Jong transfer stance amid Manchester United interest
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has seemingly opened the door for Manchester United to sign Frenkie de Jong during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Speculation over the Netherlands midfielder remains at fever pitch and United are weighing-up a move for him in what would offer up a reunion with his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag - who arrived at Old Trafford on Monday to start work on a much-needed rebuild.

Ryan Gravenberch drops transfer hint amid Erik ten Hag and Manchester United links
Ajax starlet Ryan Gravenberch insists he is ready to take the next step in his career amid mooted suggestions that he might follow Erik ten Hag to Manchester United this summer window. Elite clubs from across Europe are on red alert when it comes to Gravenberch due to his contract situation.
A highly-rated product of the famous Amsterdam system, box-to-box midfielder Gravenberch has Bayern Munich and Real Madrid chasing his signature with 12 months to run on his agreement. It means Ajax will, realistically, have to cash in on him rather than risk losing the Netherlands international for nothing.
Gravenberch, 20, has already been capped 10 times at senior level. Beyond that he has played 103 matches for Ajax in all competitions and formed a key part of their line-up under Ten Hag . Of course, the Dutchman has started work at Old Trafford as he turns his attentions to a rebuild.
