Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot is out of the derby on Saturday and Anthony Martial is a doubt.
Dalot came off as a 'precaution' in the 35th minute of United's 3-0 League Cup quarter-final win over Charlton on Tuesday but has been unable to recover in time to face City.
Martial missed the midweek tie with Charlton but appeared to be rested. However, United manager Erik ten Hag clarified the Frenchman has a leg injury.

Martial has missed 13 weeks of the season through hamstring, Achilles and back injuries and he will be assessed on Saturday morning, with kick-off at Old Trafford at 12.30pm.
Erik ten Hag said: "Diogo Dalot is not available and Anthony Martial trained this morning, so we have to wait how he recovered from his training and that will be decided tomorrow.
"It is a small thing in his leg so it will be better tomorrow or he will be available for Wednesday."
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will almost certainly replace Dalot but Ten Hag faces a potential dilemma if Martial is out as United do not have a recognised senior striker. The club have not completed the loan signing of Wout Weghorst yet.
Donny van de Beek is still sidelined after he was forced off in added time of the Premier League defeat of Bournemouth 10 days ago. Van de Beek's leg buckled under a challenge by Marcos Senesi.
