Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand couldn't resist a cheeky dig at Manchester City ahead of their Champions League quarter-final.
The former centre-back was part of the panel building up and analysing proceedings before Pep Guardiola's side took on Atletico Madrid. When presenter Jake Humphrey mentioned the atmosphere, the 43-year-old was quick to aim a quip at the Reds ' cross-city rivals.
As kick-off emerged, there was a Blue Moon mosaic from the City fans prompting the observation from the presenter: " People seem to enjoy being critical of the crowd here at the Etihad. You turn around and look at that, that’s impressive (the fans)."

Ferdinand wasted no time in biting back: " What is? (impressive) I t’s been good, it’s been noisy… for the last two minutes."
It wasn't the first time on Tuesday that the Premier League-winning defender enjoyed a thinly-veiled dig at one of his former foes. In his early career at Old Trafford, he previously spoke about not being able to walk past the legends of yesteryear for their success in Europe.
With City being favourites to win the Champions League for a number of campaigns, Ferdinand joked that Guardiola's side didn't have to deal with that pressure, he said: "These guys don’t have that pressure (of walking past legends who’ve won the Champions League) because no one before them has won it. So they don’t have that pressure - just wanted to put that out there."
