Manchester United supporters are torn over Cristiano Ronaldo after the five-time Ballon d'Or winner provided an update on his fitness while his teammates were in pre-season action. Ronaldo, 37, has yet to report back to United this summer amid mounting speculation regarding his future.
Ronaldo completed a sensational return to Old Trafford last summer and marked his second coming with 24 goals across all competitions last season. However, the Portuguese superstar has yet to feature under Erik ten Hag after being granted additional time off to deal with a family matter.
United accepted that reason and have been without Ronaldo for the entirety of their pre-season tour. Ronaldo wants to leave United but United want to keep their talisman.

In his continued absence, fellow attacker Jadon Sancho made his mark with yet another goal as United met Aston Villa in their latest pre-season friendly. However, that fixture in Perth nearly did not go ahead and a pitch inspection was needed before play got underway at the Optus Stadium.
During the opening 45 minutes, Ronaldo took to social media platforms - Instagram and Twitter - to update people on his fitness. He was spotted wearing United shorts on the image he uploaded, too, as supporters offered up mixed reaction while replying in the comments section.
