Manchester United fans have been praising David de Gea after his incredible double save in their Europa League clash with Real Sociedad.
United were 1-0 up in Spain when the hosts broke forward only to find the United stopper in inspired form. The 31-year-old first kept at bay a shot from distance only for Pablo Marin to pounce. The player looked destined to tap the ball home but De Gea, who was on the floor, reacted superbly to divert the ball over the bar.
It preserved the lead that United achieved thanks to Alejandro Garnacho's superb finish after 17 minutes. The young forward rifled the ball into the corner after a neat pass from Cristiano Ronaldo. United need to win by two goals to finish top and avoid a play-off early next year against one of the Champions League drop-outs.
