In light of links with United, a video has been posted on YouTube that shows Martinez successfully muting the danger of Manchester City star signing Haaland in the aforementioned Champions League ties. It has received a number of comments from United supporters who are keen for Martinez to become their second signing of the summer.
Some noted his calmness while others suggested how he would fit into Ten Hag's United team.
Sebastian Memphis : The defence beast who United are looking for. Last season United suffered so many counter attacks. Martinez can play a key role in defence for United.
Love4Hard: In a different team with different team mates around you it's probably gonna be a rough start. That's probably why Ten Hag wants a lot of Dutch or Ajax players to join the squad. If they succeed and they also get De Jong they instantly are running for top three (if Ronaldo stays).
Jdoublet94: Welcome to Man Utd. Of course he’s going to join the manager who developed him and helped him get into Argentina’s squad.
ArnabPal: Yes, definitely we need Lisandro Martinez for MU.
Jimmee Dee: He seems soooo no-nonsense.... a rare quality these days! Hope he joins United.
Tony Okafor: Quick across the grass, confident on the ball and mobile. Great ability to build up the play from the back as well and good marking and covering skills. Obviously he wants to implement a back three system and one of either of them will perfectly complement the slow Maguire, Lindelof and Varane.
