Cristiano Ronaldo has plunged his Manchester United future into serious doubt after conducting a bombshell interview with TV Presenter Piers Morgan.
Morgan, who has been a regular supporter of Ronaldo in recent years, announced on Sunday evening that he had conducted an explosive interview with the Portuguese international and that it would be aired on TV this coming Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Snippets have been released on social media by Morgan, showing clips of Ronaldo criticising the club, the Glazer family and manager Erik ten Hag.
Ronaldo wanted to leave United during the summer transfer window in pursuit of Champions League football but was regularly blocked by the club's hierarchy, who regularly insisted that he had a big part to play in Ten Hag's plans. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has struggled to nail down his place under the Dutchman and has scored a paltry three goals this term.

United have played better without him and have not been as vibrant, nor as fluid, when he has been on the pitch. Following the revealing of his interview with Morgan, it is possible that he could never play for United again, although the club, in a statement released on Monday afternoon, confirmed that they were waiting to until the "full facts have been established" before making any concrete decisions.
Nevertheless, the M anchester Evening News opened up the floor for United's supporters to have their say on the situation and the interview itself. After receiving 12,500 responses in just 24 hours, MEN Sport has analysed the responses we have had so far to give you an indicator of what the fans have made to the whole situation.
Of the 12,500 participants who have answered our survey so far, an astonishing 78.9 per cent disagree with Ronaldo's interview, while 21.1 per cent are in agreement with his decision to speak out.
The second part of the survey invites fans to have their say on specific topics that Ronaldo addressed during his interview, including his comments on former boss Ralf Rangnick, current manager Ten Hag and the club's lack of progress.
The answers to those were as follows:
- Did Ronaldo have a point about being forced out - only 9.3 per cent said yes.
- Did Ronaldo have a point about Erik ten Hag - only 7 per cent said yes.
- Did Ronaldo have a point about the club's lack of progress - 33.5 per cent said yes.
- Did Ronaldo have a point about Ralf Rangnick - 24.5 per cent said yes.
- Did Ronaldo have a point on any of his comments - 25.7 per cent said no.
Supporters were then asked if they believe Ronaldo has tarnished his legacy at Old Trafford. A whopping 78.1 per cent believe he has, with only 21.9 per cent of those who answered the survey saying he hadn't.
Moving on, a staggering 92.2 per cent of all 12,500 responses collected believe that he will never play for United again.
Finally, United fans who have taken part in the survey were asked if the club should sell Ronaldo in the January transfer window. A total of 78.5 per cent of the responses recorded said yes - and at any cost. A much smaller tally of 15.1 per cent would be happy to see the striker leave, so long as the price is right, while 6.4 per cent do not believe he should be offloaded.
