Manchester United supporters want to see Marcus Rashford replicate his free-kick heroics at club level. Less than 48 hours after scoring a World Cup wondergoal, the 25-year-old was back on the training ground practising his technique.
Rashford scored a superb set-piece to break the deadlock as England put Wales to the sword 3-0. On his first start in Qatar, the United forward bagged twice - sending him joint top of the World Cup goalscoring charts.
An Old Trafford renaissance under Erik ten Hag has continued at international level and he now appears certain to start the last 16 clash against Senegal. One Red Devil praised Rashford for his work rate on the training ground while firing a swipe at his critics.

“When it all comes to plan they’ll call it luck,” the fan wrote on Instagram. “But all great sportsmen/women know the phrase… ‘the more you practise, the luckier you get.’”
Another added: “Practice Makes Perfect.”
One other fan wrote: “Another free kick goal incoming.”
Another urged Rashford to start scoring free-kicks when he pulls on a red shirt again later this month. The comment read: “Rashy I need you to start belting these in at United as well.”
Since making his debut in 2016, the England star has scored four goals directly from dead-ball situations. The first came in a 1-0 Europa League victory over Celta Vigo in 2017.
However, Rashford had not scored a free-kick for over three years until his strike against Wales. Chelsea were the victims in October 2019 when his stunner inspired a 2-1 Carabao Cup win.
Astonishingly, all of Rashford’s career free-kick goals have come away from Old Trafford.
