Manchester United supporters waxed lyrical about Aaron Wan-Bissaka after he provided a classy assist for Christian Eriksen to open the scoring against Burnley in the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
After watching Burnley dominate possession for much of the first half, albeit without giving goalkeeper Martin Dubravka too much to think about, United got their noses in front with 27 minutes on the clock, courtesy of Eriksen's second goal in as many games. The Dane was in the right place at the right time to turn the ball home from close range.
He connected with Wan-Bissaka's excellent cut-back from inside the penalty area. The right-back, who was making his first competitive start since Erik ten Hag was appointed as manager during the summer, latched onto Bruno Fernandes' excellent pass out wide and, on the stretch, turned it back into the mixer for Eriksen to have the simplest of tasks, firing home from inside the six-yard box.

It was an excellent assist from the defender, who is the subject of transfer interest from West Ham United, meaning he did exactly what he needed to do in the absence of the injured Diogo Dalot. The goal gave United the injection of energy they needed, given they had struggled to create an awful lot up until then.
But although it was Eriksen that scored the opening goal, marking his first goal at Old Trafford since his summer arrival, it was the pass from Wan-Bissaka that teed up the goal that earned all of the plaudits. Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what the fans had to say:
