Manchester United fans agree on one thing over Mason Mount transfer

Manchester United supporters continue to offer up mixed views after Mason Mount agreed personal terms over a proposed summer transfer to Old Trafford - but most fans at least seem to agree that Erik ten Hag deserves their trust given what he has achieved since arriving at the club last summer.

Speculation over the future of Mount, 24, has been rife of late ahead of the transfer window reopening in a few weeks' time and the Manchester Evening News understands the player and his representatives have settled on the major details. However, no fee has been agreed between Chelsea and the Old Trafford giants.

With only 13 months to left to run on his contract, Mount finds himself at a standstill at Stamford Bridge but, while there was hope from incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino he would stay put, Chelsea are open to letting Mount leave as this summer represents their final chance to get a big return on him.

Erik ten Hag and his recruitment team at United want to make at least two major signings when the market opens, with England captain Harry Kane their primary target in the search for a new striker. Mount is, seemingly, first choice as well when it comes to their simultaneous pursuit for a midfielder.

Despite not enjoying his best season - with only five direct goal contributions in 24 appearances - Mount has often been the shining light for Chelsea in recent campaigns. His overall record for the Stamford Bridge side reads 33 goals and 37 assists from 195 games in all competitions.

He has also been capped 36 times by England - featuring in two major tournaments. Following a significant update regarding his move, United supporters were quick to share their thoughts on various social media platforms across the board.
