Manchester United have reportedly spoken to Inter Milan about wing-back Federico Dimarco but face a battle with Real Madrid for his signature.
The 25-year-old made 50 appearances and scored six goals in the 2022/23 season for the Serie A side. United are aiming to strengthen their squad this summer ahead of Erik ten Hag's second season in charge at Old Trafford. The centre forward area is a priority but other areas will also be addressed.
United already have Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia at the club. However, they are reported to be interested in Italy left-back Dimarco. According to The Independent, both United and Real have spoken to Inter about a potential deal.

Elsewhere, United and Newcastle are the latest Premier League teams to show an interest in Gambia under-20 forward Adama Bojang. The Guardian reports that the forward is available for transfer for around €3m (£2.6m) from Steve Biko FC.
The report adds that Bojang's club has received an offer from an unnamed German side. Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Tottenham and Wolves are the other Premier League teams who the 19-year-old has reportedly attracted interest from.
The youngster is said to favour a move to the Bundesliga, with RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt linked with him. It remains to be seen if his mind can be changed should an English club make a move for him.
Ten Hag is desperate to sign a centre-forward this summer, though it could be that he is forced to sign two with MEN Sport understanding Anthony Martial could be sold.
