Manchester United are reportedly mulling over a move for Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann in light of Dean Henderson’s impending exit to Nottingham Forest.
Henderson is thought to be closing in on a move to the Premier League new boys with number one choice Brice Samba set to exit. United had been tipped to make a move for academy graduate Sam Johnstone but the shot stopper is now poised to sign for Crystal Palace.
Instead, they are now setting their sights on Bachmann, according to Goal. The 27-year-old started the season as number one at Watford before being usurped again by Ben Foster, making 12 appearances last season in all.

The Athletic claims the Austrian could be available for around £4m following the Hornets’ relegation to the Championship. Bachmann would likely be handed cup games if he was to agree to a move.
Meanwhile, the Mirror reports that Ajax will put their foot down if they feel Erik ten Hag is raiding his former club. United are reportedly edging closer to a deal for Antony while Jurrien Timber is also a target.
There have also been links with Edson Alvarez and Lisandro Martinez. However, Ajax are cautious about letting too many players leave.
Sebastian Haller is on his way to Borussia Dortmund while Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui have joined Bayern Munich with Andre Onan Inter Milan-bound. It means United may have to choose between Antony and Martinez, the report says, unless they offer substantial fees for both.
