Fred and Anthony Elanga helped extend Manchester United's strong record from substitutions against Leeds on Sunday.
Both players found the back of the net for United after Ralf Rangnick made a double change on the 67th minute.
Rangnick's decision to take off Paul Pogba for Fred caught some by surprise, but it immediately paid dividends when the Brazilian scored within moments of entering the pitch and the substitutions looked better again when Elanga made the game 4-2.
Those goals put the result beyond doubt for United at Elland Road but they also extended their leading Premier League record.
United have now scored 10 goals from substitutions this season, which is at least four more than any other side.
Rangnick has earned plaudits for his mid-game tactical interventions since his interim appointment, but the German admitted after Sunday's win over United's historic rivals that he didn't expect Fred and Elanga to have the impact they did.
"He [Pogba] did great but after 60 minutes he was a little bit tired, which is normal after such a long injury break," Rangnick said. "It was great to bring on two energetic players like Fred and Anthony Elanga. They both scored in the end.
"This is the best part of it: I didn't bring them on to score goals, it was about getting more energy to the team again and play in a similar style to we played in the first-half."
