Manchester United Europa League progress sees Nottingham Forest fixture moved again

Manchester United’s progress in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night means that Nottingham Forest’s Premier League clash against the Red Devils will now be moved.

The Reds’ clash vs Erik ten Hag’s side at the City Ground was originally scheduled as a 3pm kick off on Saturday, April 15. The game was moved back to a 5.30pm kick off in order for it to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

But United’s progress to the quarter-final of the Europa League means that the clash will be moved for a second time. With the Red Devils in action the Thursday before, they will now travel to the City Ground on Sunday, April 16, with kick off at 4.30pm, the game will still be shown live on Sky Sports.

Man United were in Europa League action on Thursday night as they eased past Spanish side Real Betis in the round of 16 stage. A goal from Marcus Rashford earned a 1-0 away win and saw the side go through with an aggregate score of 5-1.

Forest’s game against them, now on the Sunday, will come just three days after the club’s Europa League quarter-final first leg. If that will be home or away and who it will be against is still to be seen, with the draw taking place on Friday.

Forest’s other game in April to be shown on TV is the home clash against Brighton and Hove Albion. The game will now take place at the City Ground on Wednesday, April 26, with kick off at 7.30pm. The game is being shown live on BT Sport.
