Manchester United: Erling Haaland issues verdict on Rasmus Hojlund's start at Old Trafford

Manchester City star Erling Haaland has given his verdict on Rasmus Hojlund's start at Manchester City.

Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm since arriving as a 21-year-old, breaking a number of goals records and spearheading City to a famous Treble last season.

Hojlund, who turned 21 years old last month, moved to City's rivals United last summer in a deal worth around £72million, move than the reported figure paid for Haaland.

The young Dane struggled in his first few months, but in February became the youngest ever player to score in six consecutive Premier League games before injury hampered his progress.

Haaland, speaking to reporters ahead of City's Champions League clash with Danish side Copenhagen, said: "His start was a bit hard, he has got much better and when we played them he was good.

"He is young, like me, I am not the youngest anymore but still young. He has to keep on developing as a striker for Manchester United you have to score goals as well."
