Manchester United 'enter final talks' with Joao Felix and other transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix.

Felix is said to be unsettled at Atleti and, despite his contract not expiring until 2026, is looking for a new challenge. According to Le 10 Sport in France, United are in discussions with the 23-year-old's agent and discussions are said to be progressing well.

United are wanting to bolster their attacking options in January following Cristiano Ronaldo's departure. It was understood that the Reds would target a forward this winter even before Ronaldo's exit.

Erik ten Hag's men have scored a mere 20 goals in the Premier League this season. Arsenal are also thought to be keen on a move for Felix.

Elsewhere, Ten Hag reportedly has an 'in' with Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong. Give Me Sport understand that Frimpong is on United's list of potential right-backs to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 22-year-old has become a key player for the Bundesliga side since moving from Celtic in 2021. Frimpong may have a deal at Leverkusen until 2025, however, the online publication believes that the player would favour a move to Old Trafford in order to work under Ten Hag.

Wan-Bissaka is still expected to leave Old Trafford in the near future despite Ten Hag stating that the Englishman has a future in Manchester. MEN Sport understands that a number of clubs have shown interest in the 25-year-old including West Ham.
