Manchester United deny latest Cristiano Ronaldo reports about his future

Manchester United have denied the latest reports regarding Cristiano Ronaldo's future at the club. On Sunday, Sky Sports reported that the Reds were looking to see a 'change' in Ronaldo's attitude or they would be forced to terminate the forward's contract.

However, MEN Sport have been told by the club that these reports are 'false'. United are adamant that Ronaldo's contract is not under discussion by the club in terms of being terminated and that they expect him to see it out, with the player not for sale this summer.

Earlier this transfer window, Ronaldo had made it clear to United that he wished to move away from the club if a 'reasonable' offer was submitted for his services. The 37-year-old then missed the club's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to 'family reasons'.

Ronaldo would end up returning for the Rayo Vallecano friendly but only lasted 45 minutes. He would then be blasted by manager Erik ten Hag, along with other United first team players, for leaving the pre-season fixture before the full-time whistle.

The forward started up front for United on Saturday for the first time this season as the Reds were thrashed 4-0 by Brentford. Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee and Bryan Mbeumo all scored in the first half as Ten Hag's men were embarrassed in west London.
