Liverpool fans were left fuming after Manchester United landed a key blow in the race for the top four with a comeback win against Manchester City.
Jack Grealish gave City the lead in the second-half before United equalised in controversial fashion. The ball was played forward with the intention of finding Marcus Rashford. However, the United forward was in an offside position and the 25-year-old appeared to be aware of this as he allowed the ball to run through for Bruno Fernandes to finish smartly.
Rashford's proximity to the ball in the build-up led to calls that he could be interfering with play, but after the linesman had initially raised his flag the goal was awarded after consultation with referee Stuart Attwell. Former Premier League referee Peter Walton confirmed that the goal should have stood on the BT Sport coverage but Liverpool fans weren't so sure.

With Rashford having continued his run, he appeared to be interfering with play but did not directly impede any City players nor did he touch the ball and both former United players Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand agreed with the decision in the BT Sport studio.
