Manchester United have released their new third kit for the upcoming season.
The striped black and white jersey, designed by Adidas, was first unveiled by former club winger David Beckham on Instagram.
“Love the new United shirt,” the 45-year-old wrote on Monday, with United responding on Twitter on Tuesday: “Thanks for the seal of approval, Becks — we’ll take it from here.
“Presenting our new @adidasfootball 2020/21 third shirt, out now.”
United then posted further tweets with players and models sporting the top, accompanied by slogans such as “Ready to stand out,” “Earn your stripes,” and “Never ignored.”
The kit has already caused quite a stir on social media, with fans quick to weigh in.
Many compared it to a prison uniform, while others could not help but note its similarities to a zebra’s patterns.
The new Premier League season gets under way on Saturday, though United will not play until gameweek 2.
