Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga with a view to signing the 20-year-old in the summer transfer window.
According to ESPN, Veiga - who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool and Real Madrid - is on the Reds' wish list for this summer, with Erik ten Hag keen to strengthen his midfield options. The Spaniard has impressed this season, scoring eight goals in 24 league games. His release clause is set at €40million.
The report adds that Leeds and Bournemouth both made an approach in the January window to lure the midfielder to the Premier League. It appears unlikely that Veiga will accept a new contract with Celta, with his current deal set to expire in June 2026.

MEN Sport understands that Ten Hag is open to a second pursuit of Frenkie de Jong amid ongoing financial issues at Barcelona and the United manager would endorse a move for Jude Bellingham if the Borussia Dortmund and England ace is receptive to joining United. Club sources have indicated funds from any player sales would underpin an intended move for a midfielder.
Elsewhere, Mundo Deportivo have reported that United are one of three Premier League clubs 'crazy' about Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie. The report claims the 26-year-old is keen to remain at Camp Nou, but there is a chance he could be sold by Xavi.
It is said that Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring the Ivorian, with a number of Italian clubs also open to a move for the player. Kessie made a slow start to life with the Catalan giants, but he has featured more regularly in recent weeks.
The midfielder has made 31 appearances in all competitions this term, registering three goals and three assists.
