Some Manchester United supporters slammed those inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground tha booed Harry Maguire's every touch in the opening exchanges of Tuesday's pre-season friendly with Crystal Palace.
The United skipper, who was named in the starting line-up for the second game running, was booed by some supporters in attendance before the match had even kicked-off. He was booed and jeered when the public address system read out his name when confirming United's starting line-up.
Following kick-off, every touch of the ball he had was greeted with a loud chorus of boos. He passed the ball out of play with just 40 seconds on the clock, increasing the volume of the boos.
