Aoife Mannion will miss title-chasing Manchester United’s final game of the season - but she is expected to return to fitness in time for the World Cup.
Mannion, a recent addition to Vera Pauw’s Ireland squad, hurt her knee in training.
However, United boss Marc Skinner posted a hopeful update, saying: “There was nothing structurally wrong but we're hoping a few weeks and she'll be back.

“We're hoping so [for the World Cup]. That's the plan.”
United face Liverpool needing to win if they are to have any chance of winning the Women’s Super League.
Leaders Chelsea would also have to drop points against bottom-of-the-table Reading to send the title to the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Ireland pair Megan Connolly and Megan Walsh are on the lookout for new clubs, after Brighton announced that they would both be leaving at the end of the season.
