Manchester United fans look to have been given an early glimpse of next season’s home kit after a picture of the 2022/23 offering was apparently leaked online.
United supporters will no doubt be glad to put the 2021/22 campaign behind them after what has been a dire season at Old Trafford. With just two games remaining, they can begin to look forward to a new-look side in the summer, in more ways than one.
Erik ten Hag will of course be arriving as the club’s new manager during the summer, and the current Ajax boss will have his work cut out for him as he puts together his squad for next season. With a number of players set to leave, and question marks over the futures of others, United could take on a very different look for the 2022/23 campaign.

At the very least, they’ll have a new range of kits to show off as part of the annual change in the club’s strips. And it looks as though fans have been given an early look at what to expect from next season’s home offering.
The first image of the 2022/23 home kit looks to have been leaked ahead of the summer, with Adidas’ latest offering sporting a retro look. The most striking feature is arguably the return of a collar, evoking memories of Eric Cantona during the 1990s.
Other notable changes see the three stripes on the shoulders changed from white to black for the first time since the 2018/19 season, while new sponsors DXC Technology replace Kohler on the sleeve. The club badge is also given an outline, bringing back more memories from the 90s, and in particular the kit worn by United in their unforgettable 1999 Champions League triumph over Bayern Munich.
The home kit is the first of next season’s offerings to find its way online, with the away and third kits – as well as the goalkeepers’ jerseys – yet to be seen. United fans will get their first glimpse of Ten Hag’s side in the new kits when the Reds return to action during pre-season.
