Whilst hotels are a common choice for a weekend stay, renting out a home or apartment can offer more privacy, space and can often be a cheaper option. Not only that but there are some pretty cool and quirky places to stay in Manchester that are unlike anything you'd ever see in a traditional hotel.

The Grade 2 listed building in the heart of West Didsbury was once a NatWest bank, but the basement has now been transformed into a pretty cool living space.

This gold-fronted townhouse is just as striking on the outside as it is on the inside. Serving a central location in Deansgate, the large house makes for a suitable stay for a large family or group of friends wanting to live in luxury.

Boasting not one but two rooftop terraces and a hot tub, this one-of-kind property offers an elegant stay. With access to the whole house, guests can enjoy a kitchen, dining room, two living areas and three bedrooms each with their own en suites.
