The latest additions to the Michelin Guide have been announced - and a Manchester restaurant has made the cut. Another Hand located on Deansgate Mews has been added to the November edition of the Michelin Inspectors' Favourite New Restaurants.
The popular eatery is now one of 11 Manchester restaurants featured in the prestigious food guide. For November, 15 new additions made it into the Guide ahead of the annual launch ceremony when the Michelin stars, Bib Gourmands and Green Stars will be unveiled.
Located on the upper level of Great Northern Warehouse, Another Hand opened just eight months ago and has already impressed foodies across the city with its relaxed yet refined menus. The news comes just a couple of months after the team were awarded the Best Newcomer at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards held at Depot Mayfield.

The casual, neighbourhood-style eatery was launched by the team behind 3 Hands Deli, a firm lockdown favourite which popped up for a brief time just two units down from where the restaurant now stands. Danny Foggo of Holy Grain - who shared the unit with 3 Hands - and chefs Julian Pizer (3 Hands) and Max Yorke (Edinburgh Castle and Hispi) are at the helm of the Michelin-Guide recommended eatery.
In its description of the restaurant, The Michelin Guide wrote: "Tucked away on the upper 'mews' level of Deansgate’s Great Northern Warehouse, this small, buzzy restaurant comes from the three chefs behind the city’s erstwhile 3 Hands Deli. A café by day, by night it serves an array of delicious sharing plates, made with produce from ethical local growers."
The restaurant joins fellow city centre dining spots Erst and Adam Reid at The French, and Osma in Prestwich in the Guide, which is updated every year. The menu at Another Hand features a number of small plates, as well as contemporary cocktails and natural wines
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News , Julian Pizer said: "It's wild, you know its been one of those surreal times especially since the win at the Food & Drink Awards Awards. Its more than we ever expected in our first year really, our humble little restaurant, it's been incredible.
"Honestly, we were just wanting to survive the first year coming out of Covid and with the pending crisis in hospitality that we knew was coming. It's just fallen at the right time for us, with the awards and reviews from national press giving us a boost.
"We're almost fully booked until Christmas and while we don't have a big space it's really important to us that we're maximising on that. All we can hope is that the traction continues, we're going to keep doing what we're doing.
The intimate, casual dining spot serves a variety of dishes, natural wines and hand crafted cocktails. Its current menu utilises ingredients from local producers to create dishes ranging from whipped cod's roe and chalk stream trout, to desserts including warm rye chocolate and apple terrine.
