Manchester rapper Bugzy Malone proposes to girlfriend on romantic boat trip in Paris

Rapper Bugzy Malone proposed to his girlfriend of nine years on a boat during a romantic trip to Paris.

The grime star, from Crumpsall, got down on one knee as they sailed down the Seine.

The 28-year-old, real name Aaron Davis, posted a video of the romantic moment on Instagram to his 1.1m followers on Thursday night.

His partner, whose name has been kept secret, is heard saying 'oh my god' as he produces a beautiful huge diamond ring in a box.

She then breaks down in tears and nods in the video as he asks her to marry him.

They then stand and embrace as people are heard clapping and cheering in the background.

In the caption, he wrote: "Because if you love her and she's a real one bend the f****** knee!

"Not much scares me but after 9 years it's time and I swear I was shook. She said yes...Paris it's been a pleasure."

Scores of people congratulated the couple in the comments.

Radio One DJ Annie Mac wrote: "Aaaaaah this is so beautiful massive congrats to you both - nine years!

"That's an achievement in itself! Wishing you the happiest life together."

YouTube star KSI added: "Congrats my G."

The grime star, who calls his partner 'Boo-Boo', had previously shared footage of their trip to Paris on his Instagram.

The pair braved the rain to wander around the city. They tried French food and went ice-skating.

Bugzy thanked his bride-to-be in his latest hit December, rapping the lyrics: "I've gotta thank my girl for sticking around and holding me up / 'Cause I coulda drowned and never again will I let her down."

And he'd paid tribute to her love in his track Beauty And The Beast, which documented their relationship problems when he was struggling to make it big.

He wrote: "Back then I was driving with no license, I was struggling with violence / The man said 12 pounds for 2 tickets, and there was an awkward silence / She had to pay me into the cinema, and at that point I was frightened / Do I tell her that I fell off, or do I lie?".

Earlier this month, Aaron paid tribute to his "soulmate" in Instagram where he shared snaps of them posing on the red carpet at The Gentlemen premiere.

"Behind every strong man is an even stronger woman and after 9 years and some major ups and downs we found true balance," he wrote.

"Relationships aren't easy especially when your trying to become successful. I needed to change parts of my character and to learn how to become happy off my own back before I could be a solid boyfriend."
