It's the most wonderful time of the year to be LGBTQ+ in Manchester!
That's right, Manchester Pride 2019 has arrived and it's a chance to celebrate how far LGBTQ+ rights have come in the UK and remind the world how much of a fight is still on our hands.
The joyous occasion will diverse groups of people from across the LGBTQ+ community and their allies come out in droves for the celebrations.
This year we can also expect a number of modern gay icons to appear including the likes of pop star Ariana Grande.
Get the glitter and rainbow flags out and get ready to celebrate.

Manchester Pride 2019 dates

Manchester Pride 2019 will be held from Saturday, August 24, 2019 to Sunday, August 25, 2019.
The parade itself is held on the Saturday.
What time does Manchester Pride 2019 start?
The Mayfield site opens for Pride Live at 12pm, and Pride Pledge Band holders cannot re-enter the venue after 7pm.
It will be open until 1.30am on both days of the line-up.
The Manchester Pride 2019 parade begins at 12pm.

The Pride parade takes place on the Saturday (August 24), starting along Deansgate at 12pm from the junction with arrival at Liverpool Road at midday before making its way to Fairfield Street.
The route takes it along Peter Street, Oxford Street, Portland Street, Princess Street and Whitworth Street along the way.

Who is performing?
As already mentioned, Manchester Pride 2019's leading lady is Manchester's adopted sweetheart: Ariana Grande .

The pop singer will take to the stage as the headline act and we can't wait to see what she has in store.
