A Manchester distillery has teamed up with a leading gin subscription box to raise money for homeless animals at Dogs Trust.
Manchester Gin first collaborated with Craft Gin Club back in April 2018, where their ‘distillers cut’ gin starred as their tipple of the month.
Now, the Watson Street based distillery is helping raise cash for Dogs Trust with a luxury G&T gift set that’s perfect for Valentine’s day.
Their Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused bottle has already featured in our Valentine’s gin and fizz gift guide, and has been paired with six bottles of Navas Garden Tonic Water, plus dried Kumquat to garnish with for £42.
And £5 from every sale on the Craft Gin Club website will be donated to Dogs Trust - the UK’s largest dog welfare charity who take in more than 15,000 dogs a year.
The charity now has 21 rehoming centres across the UK where they save lost, mistreated and unwanted dogs, and help them find their forever homes.
The Manchester Gin and Craft Gin Club collab was actually inspired by the distillery’s founders, Seb Heeley and Jen Wiggins, distillery dogs.
Deedee and Millie ‘practically run’ the city distillery, keeping everything in order and ensuring staff members take their lunch breaks in the form of walkies.
As a lover of all things dogs (and gin) this seems like a match made in heaven.
I enjoyed my Manchester Gin over the weekend with the herbaceous tonic water, which really complemented the fruitiness of the raspberry gin. There are also three bags of the dried kumquat garnishes, so plenty to use in future too.
The drinks look really pretty in a highball glass, and the fragrance is as much a treat as the taste, with citrus from the dried fruit and an earthiness from the mixer pairing with raspberry and juniper from the gin.
There are four bundles available which are also donating £5 from each purchase to Dog's Trust, including the Manchester Gin one.
Others include Pennington’s, Rock Rose and The River Test, each inspired by their distillery dogs.
And if you’ve seen the Craft Gin Club adverts featuring This Morning’s Philip Schofield, you might have been tempted to subscribe to the monthly box.
Customers can bag 40% off their first subscription order with the code LOVEGINSHOP.
