Manchester dessert parlour launches watermelon dessert for fans heading to see Harry Styles

Harry Styles fans can taste the ‘Watermelon Sugar’ ahead of his second Manchester date today as a city centre business has launched an exclusive frozen dessert offering in honour of the musician.

Frurt has released a limited edition watermelon flavour soft serve for fans looking for a way to cool down before heading to Emirates Old Trafford tonight (June 16).

The dessert is a cross between ice cream and sorbet, and was inspired by Styles’ hit song Watermelon Sugar, making it a must-have pre-gig treat, perfect for the warm weather Manchester has been blessed with.

Fans of Harry Styles can adore the watermelon soft serve sorbet at four of Frurt’s sites including the city centre venue on Peter Street, Blackburn, Bolton and in Prestwich.

The frozen yoghurts business offer fat free, low in sugar, low in calories, and low fat products, which are full of active live cultures. What’s more is that the new flavour, as well as being delicious and refreshing, is vegan and gluten-free friendly.

The new flavour will be available for a limited time only for two weeks, from Monday, June 13 to Sunday, June 26.

A small watermelon sorbet comes in at £4, while medium costs £5, or fans can go large for £6. They can pick from a range of topping including crush digestives, Biscoff and Oreos, sherbert, fresh fruit and sprinkles.

Ordering Frurt’s new watermelon sorbet for myself, I opted for the sherbert and some crushed digestives, offering something sweet and tangy with a bit of a crunch.

The Peter Street site is a 50 minute walk from Old Trafford, or just under 10 minutes in the car should ticketholder for tonight's gig fancy a frozen treat. Frurt will be open from 10am to 11.45pm every day, ready to serve up this fun-filled Harry inspired pink dessert.
