Manchester City star players spotted on TRAM heading for treble parade

A number of Manchester City star players have been pictured on a tram heading towards the treble parade on Deansgate.

The team are set to make for the streets of Manchester this evening to celebrate their remarkable triumph after winning the Champions League final in Istanbul this weekend.

Celebrations have already been delayed due to 'adverse weather' conditions, as the region is being battered by heavy rain, hail and thunderstorms this evening.

But that hasn't seemed to deter the spirits of a number of Manchester City players who were filmed making their way into the city centre via tram.

Stars such as Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, Aymeric Laporte, Erling Haaland, John Stones, Ilkay Gundogan, and Ederson were captured smiling and laughing as they made their way to Deansgate.

The players are expected to meet the open-top double-decker bus outside Beetham Tower before it makes its way through the streets of the city centre.

The celebrations were due to get underway in Manchester at 6.30pm but the threat of thunderstorms led to a delay in allowing access to the stage show area for fans.

According to the Manchester City website, gates for the show stage will no longer open at 5pm with access delayed until 7pm. The show had been due to start at 5.30pm.

Much like the players, the rain doesn't appear to be dampening the spirits of fans either, who have made their way in their thousands to cheer on their beloved team.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
