Manchester City star Lauren Hemp has been named PFA Vertu Motors WSL Fans’ Player of the Month for October.
Gareth Taylor's side moved up to fourth in the table behind the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. City won all four games in all competitions throughout October and went into this month's international break on the back of a 3-0 win away at Reading.
Hemp scored in two of the three Women's Super League matches in that time, finding the back of the net against both Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Having endured a difficult start to the campaign, with back-to-back defeats against Aston Villa and Chelsea back in September, the 22-year-old has played a key role in helping the side turn things around. Hemp claims the award having seen off competition from the likes of Arsenal's Frida Maanum, Chelsea's Pernille Harder, Manchester United duo Nikita Parris and Mary Earps and City teammate Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw.
The England international withdrew from this month's Lionesses squad to face Japan and Norway due to a minor injury. She reported to training but didn't travel to Spain with the rest of the team following a consultation with the club.
City now return to WSL action this weekend with an away trip to face Everton on Saturday afternoon. Taylor will hope his side can gain further ground on the teams above them in the table ahead of a busy fixture schedule in the lead-up to Christmas.
Before the end of the year, City will also play two other league matches against rivals Manchester United and Brighton. Their remaining three Continental Cup group stage games against Sunderland, Liverpool and Leicester City will also take place over the coming weeks.
