Manchester City has finalized a deal to acquire 20-year-old Brazilian winger Sávio on a five-year contract, as confirmed by the club on Thursday. Sávio's move to City comes after stints at French club Troyes and loan spells at PSV Eindhoven and Girona.

Both Troyes and Girona are affiliated with the City Football Group (CFG), overseen by Manchester City. Expressing his enthusiasm about joining the Premier League champions and Club World Cup winners, Sávio stated, 'Everyone knows they are the best team in the world right now, so to be here is very exciting for me.'

Sávio also expressed his eagerness to work under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, whom he regards as one of the greatest coaches ever. Having enjoyed a successful spell in Spain, Sávio is now looking forward to the challenge of competing in the Premier League alongside some of the world's top players.

During his time at Girona last season, Sávio netted 11 goals in 41 appearances, contributing significantly to the team's qualification for the Champions League for the first time in their history. He also represented Brazil in the recent Copa América, scoring a goal in each of the four matches he played until their elimination by Uruguay in the quarterfinals.

Sávio's arrival at Manchester City marks a new chapter in his promising career, with the young talent eager to make his mark and contribute to the club's continued success. The fans and his new teammates eagerly anticipate his impact on the team as they strive for further achievements in the upcoming seasons.
