April 10, 2021 - 2-1 loss to Leeds United
We'll start with a memory from last season. Leeds United's incredible, impressive, almost improbable win away over the Champions elect Manchester City. Coming off a 2-1 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund, City were in rampant form. They had won 27 of their last 28 games and were on cruise control for the Premier League title given their rivals' struggles.
However, Leeds found themselves 1-0 up on 42 minutes through Stuart Dallas, an unlikely scenario for the Whites given the relative gulf in class between the two squads. A red card for captain Liam Cooper saw Leeds down to 10-men for the entire second half, leaving then-head coach Marcelo Bielsa's side scrambling for 45 minutes.
Ferran Torres equalised for City on 76 minutes, with City looking to kill off Leeds in the final stages of the game. But then, out of nowhere, Stuart Dallas popped up on the break in the 91st minutes, gliding into the box to slot the ball between City keeper Ederson's legs to give Leeds an unlikely 2-1 win.
April 17, 2021 - 1-0 Loss to Chelsea
After the loss to Leeds, City followed that up with another 2-1 win over Dortmund to send them through to the Champions League semi-final. However, their next game saw them fall 1-0 to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, a surprising result given their dominant form prior to that.
This result makes the list because of the impact it had later on a game later on in the season, namely, the Champions League final which saw Chelsea beat City 1-0 in Portugal. Chelsea managed to beat City three times between mid-April and the end of the 2020-21 campaign, and this result was the first of those three, handing Thomas Tuchel a blueprint to best Pep Guardiola at the business end of the season.
October 3, 2021 - 2-2 draw with Liverpool
Last season, Liverpool were clearly hampered by a host of injuries to key players and it almost derailed their campaign. So when they first came up against City this season, it was sure to be a hotly contested clash. City came into the game following a 2-0 loss to PSG in the group stages of the Champions League and needed a bounce-back performance.
While it was 0-0 at the break between City and Liverpool, the two sides caught fire in the second half as they both scored twice in what ended as a 2-2 draw. A game of the highest quality, it was a reminder to the rest of the league just how far ahead both are when they're in full flow and that the league would most likely be won by one of them this season.
December 11, 2021 - 1-0 win over Wolves
Following a 2-1 loss to RB Leipzig in the Champions League, City followed that up with a hard-fought 1-0 win over 10-man Wolves.q A back to basics win for City set the foundations for Pep Guardiola's side to go and score a whopping 17 goals in their three games following the Wolves win.

Feburary 19, 2022 - 3-2 loss to Spurs
Until they faced off against Spurs in February where they lost 3-2 courtesy of a 95th-minute winner from Harry Kane.
The loss to Spurs, which was preceded by a rampant 5-0 Champions League win over Sporting Lisbon was a reminder that City are sometimes prone to drop points surprisingly following a lengthy spell where they look untouchable.
