Manchester City's James Trafford reacts to England win as several Bolton Wanderers players on international duty

Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper James Trafford played the full game as England's under-21s beat Germany 3-1.

Manchester City youngster Trafford is spending the season out on loan at Wanderers getting further minutes under his belt. The 19-year-old has recently signed a new long-term deal at City.

Trafford picked up his second cap for the Young Lions in the 3-1 victory. Folarin Balogun's seventh Under-21 goal, Conor Gallagher's strike and Cole Palmer's late third earned Lee Carsley's side the win at Bramall Lane.

After the win, Trafford took to Twitter to have his say on the performance. He wrote: "Good way to finish the break with a 3-1 win vs Germany."

Elsewhere on the international front for the League One side, Conor Bradley started for Northern Ireland in their 3-1 Uefa Nations League clash against Greece. Dion Charles came off the bench for the Liverpool loanee with more than 20 minutes left.

Amadou Bakayoko was an unused substitute for Sierra Leone in the 3-0 loss against DR Congo. Owen Beck meanwhile played for Wales under-21s in their 2-0 loss to Austria.
