Leeds United begin a daunting run of fixtures on Saturday as they welcome table-toppers Manchester City to Elland Road. Jesse Marsch’s side sit five points above the drop zone - having played a game more than Everton - and face the champions, Arsenal and Chelsea in their next three outings.
One advantage for Leeds ahead of this weekend’s clash is they have an extra day's rest over Pep Guardiola’s men. Man City went beat Real Madrid 4-3 in a thrilling Champions League contest on Tuesday night - and had to do so with a weakened backline.
City’s injury woes saw 36-year-old Fernandinho play large chunks of the game as a makeshift right-back. Kyle Walker has been out of action since a 2-2 draw with Liverpool earlier this month and his absence was evident against the La Liga giants.

The England defender did train on Tuesday but was not rushed back. If Walker is left out against the Whites, it could provide a glaring weakness in City’s backline for Marsch to exploit.
John Stones is another potential absentee as he hobbled off against Real Madrid after 36 minutes. It is unclear whether the centre-back will feature on Saturday but, with Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias to call upon, City are well reserved. Elsewhere, Guardiola has a full-strength squad to call upon against the Whites.
