Manchester Christmas Markets favourite plans BAUBLE cocktails for 2022

It's not long to wait now for the return of the Manchester Christmas Markets - and many of the city's best-loved traders are planning some new and exciting things for the comeback. And that includes one markets favourite who has just confirmed they are planning Christmas BAUBLE cocktails for 2022.

The team behind Elsie May's ever-popular cookie dough stands area launching a new bar stall this year, and it will have a prominent spot on Exchange Square. And as well as a raft of hot chocolates, prosecco cocktails and gluhwein, boss Charlotte Whittle has unveiled her special new Christmas cocktail confection for this year.

It will be a Candy Cane Cosmopolitan drink - and it will come served in an actual bauble. Festive doesn't quite cover it.

The cocktails will be served from the new Clarkes bar on Exchange Square. The bar has been named after Manchester entrepreneur Charlotte's son.

Loop churros will be back at the Manchester Christmas Markets (MEN)

Her famous cookie dough creations as Elsie Mays will be back at the Winter Gardens hub at Piccadilly Gardens for 2022. The company will also be bringing back their hot churros including the popular loop churros that were something of a social media sensation in 2021.

Charlotte says: "We came up with the Christmas bauble cocktail just as something a little bit different and festive. Clarkes Bar will be all new for this year, with a complete redesign and full range of drinks at Exchange Square."

Prices are yet to be confirmed for the range, but will all go live when the Christmas Markets open to the public in Manchester from November 10. Also new for this year at the cookie dough stand will be Lotus Biscoff and white chocolate options - as well as the return of the Nutella, Oreo and Reese's Pieces flavours.

Manchester Council has confirmed that the Christmas Markets will return to sites across the city again for 2022. Winter Gardens at Piccadilly will once again be the main "hub" while the market stalls will stretch across the city including at Market Street, St Ann's Square, Exchange Square and Exchange Street, Cathedral Gardens and King Street.
