Manchester Airport has confirmed it will fully reopen Terminal Three this week.
The transport hub said it is making the move in response to "increased demand" following the easing of Covid-19 travel restrictions.
The terminal will be fully reopened on Friday, April 22.
The news comes after the airport started to gradually reopen the terminal towards the end of March.
Manchester Airport has recently come under fire because of long delays for travellers and being short of staff.
The intense criticism of the chaos led to the resignation of managing director Karen Smart on April 5.
She had been with Manchester Airports Group (MAG) for eight years and as MD for the last two.
Ian Costigan has taken on the role of interim managing director and will be responsible for delivering the programmes of recruitment needed to increase operational capacity over the summer.
The chief executive of Manchester Airports Group recently apologised for the "disruption people have faced" and explained the reasons behind staff shortages and long queues.
In an open letter, Charlie Cornish said the group "had to cut costs just to survive" during the Covid-19 pandemic and that he expects around 250 new security staff to start in the operation by early May.
He also said the group "will be working hard to get passengers through the airport as quickly as we can over the coming weeks".
