Olympiacos manager Michel has confirmed that his side will play Nottingham Forest during the World Cup break.
The Reds ended on a high at the weekend with Morgan Gibbs-White’s goal handing Steve Cooper ’s side an important victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday. The result means that Forest, who are currently 18th and one point away from safety, have lost just one of their last five league games, with that defeat coming against league leaders Arsenal.
Supporters will now have to wait until the Carabao Cup clash with Blackburn Rovers on December 20 to see Forest back in action. The club are yet to announce the full details of their plan over winter but it appears the club will be heading to Evangelos Marinakis-owned Olympiacos next month. The two sides last met in a pre-season friendly in July 2019.

Speaking to the media at the weekend, Olympiacos boss Michel gave a date for when Forest would be playing at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium: “We have scheduled friendlies on 1st December with Coventry, on 4th of the month with a Belgian team and we have a doubt for 7th December, because we will play a match on 10th December against Forest in Karaiskaki,” he said, as reported by Greek outlet King Sport .
One game that Forest have confirmed is that the Reds will face Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium on December 16 . Cooper has already explained that the club are putting the final few things in place, having initially planned for the break while in the Championship, which returns to action two weeks earlier than the Premier League.
“We do have a plan for the break, in terms of scheduling, training content and games, which we will announce soon. It’s taken a little bit of finalising,” Cooper said last week. “But 90 percent of it was done a while ago, because we knew the break was coming. A lot of it was planned last year when we were in the Championship.
"What I do know is we have a strong plan. It is one that has been thought out at all levels, from the point of view of coaching, physical, strategic - with Filippo (Giraldi, sporting director) involved now, which has been great.”
