Bobby Dailly and William Sandford were the trialists listed in St Johnstone’s friendly with Cove Rangers on Saturday.
Centre-half Dailly, son of former Scotland international Christian, was an unused substitute but the 18-year-old did feature against Civil Service Strollers on Friday evening.
Sandford, meanwhile, is a central midfielder and has been playing his football in the youth ranks of IFK Göteborg. He played the final five minutes against Cove and was also given game-time against Inverness on Tuesday.
Manager Callum Davidson confirmed: “Bobby (Dailly) played for us in last night’s game (against Civil Service Strollers). He’s been training with us.
“I’m looking to bring in more players in that age-group – behind the first team.
“William (Sandford) is a central midfielder who is only 19. He’s been training with us as well.
“I’ll discuss things with my chairman and see where we are with it. I think it’s really important to have a good young batch coming through.”
