Man with severe dementia left home in pyjamas - his tracker last placed him in the city centre

A missing man with severe dementia was last seen leaving his home in his pyjamas - but his tracker last placed him in Manchester city centre before its battery died.

Algeron, also known as Danny, 77, was last seen at around 10.50am on Wednesday (January 25) leaving his home in Longsight. He usually carries a tracker with him, which last placed him at Mosley Street in the city centre at 11.59am.

However, police now believe the battery on the tracker has run out. Officers are becoming 'increasingly concerned' about his welfare and are continuing to try and trace him.

Although Danny is not known to visit one particular area, police said he is 'very fit' and can walk for a considerable amount of time. He was last seen wearing a three-quarter length grey jacket, dark navy blue pyjamas and brown leather slippers.

Anyone with any information about Danny's whereabouts is being urged to contact Greater Manchester Police immediately.

Anyone with any information regarding Danny’s whereabouts is asked to contact GMP via 101, quoting reference MSP/06A2/0000114/23.
