Man with 'jelly wizard' cannabis crashes into two cars after police chase

A man caught with "jelly wizard" cannabis crashed into two cars following police chase.

Police tried to stop a car on Snave Close in Litherland on Monday, November 28, however the driver failed to stop and a police chase began. During this time, the car crashed into two vehicles and eventually came to a stop.

The 26-year-old man, from Kensington, was then chased on foot by police officers and he was eventually detained and arrested. He was found with numerous packets of cannabis and a metal steering lock.

Pictures shared by Sefton Police showed the cannabis in "jelly wizard", "rose" and "pineapple" packets. The 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences, failing to stop, dangerous driving and possesion of an offensive weapon.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Operation Pelican Officers have tonight arrested a 26-year-old male from the Kensington area for drug supply offences, failing to stop, dangerous drive and possession of an offensive weapon.

"Officers have attempted to stop a vehicle in Snave Close, Litherland, the vehicle has failed to stop before being in a brief pursuit. The vehicle has then collided with two vehicles and came to a stop.

"The male has then been detained and arrested after a short foot chase. The male was then found in possession of numerous packets of cannabis and a metal steering lock The male remains in custody awaiting questioning by detectives with the vehicle being seized."
