A man who holds a Guinness World Record for having 864 tattoos of insects on his body has revealed that he actually "hates bugs".
New York-based Michael Amoia earned the record for the most insect tattoos when his 864 were officially tallied, reports UPI.
He actually stole the record off Brit man Baxter Milsom, who boasts 402 insect tattoos.
Michael's first insect tattoo was a red ant queen that he got on his forearm when he was 21 - but he said people often wrongly think he loves bugs.
He told Guinness: "A lot of people think I like bugs - actually it's the complete opposite. I'm afraid of bugs, I hate bugs. But is has multiple meanings, that's why I put them all over my body.
"It's some dark meaning, but more of a positive message."
It's not only Michael who has tattoos worth talking about - especially when they don't quite go to plan.
One Brit woman, named as Jordan, had big plans to get a pair of eyes tattooed onto the back of her knees. With a picture of her inspiration, she was excited for the inking to start.
Unfortunately she was left in hysterics when the design didn't turn out as she'd hoped and the pupils in the eyes were wonky.
Thankfully she saw the funny side of it all and loves the result regardless.
Another woman wasn't laughing quite so much when the Marvel tattoo she had asked for ended up looking like a penis.
Courtney Lyn asked for a tattoo of Rocket the racoon from Guardians of the Galaxy on her forearm.
But she was horrified when part of the design ended up looking more phallic than she had intended.
She shared the video on TikTok, which has been viewed more than two million times, leaving many in stitches.
"It was supposed to be a knee cap. But it doesn't look like a knee cap, it looks like a penis!" Courtney said.
